45 people attended our Lunch and Learn session on World Suicide Prevention Day yesterday. We asked them what menopause symptoms impact people most at work, and the most common answer was ‘brain fog,’ with other common answers being ‘anxiety,’ ‘fatigue,’ ‘imposter syndrome,’ ‘lack of confidence,’ and ‘forgetfulness.’ Our discussion revealed just how many people are affected by perimenopause and menopause, how this can vary across different demographics, and just how serious and severe the symptoms can be, sometimes even leading people to end their lives. “A reminder that as managers we need to have this on our radar when considering staff wellbeing.”

We had many more sign up and not be able to make it so we are running another! If you are SLT, a Wellbeing/Mental Health Lead, in HR come along – Wednesday 7th October 12:15

We’re really proud to launch our new CPD-accredited one day course: Menopause, Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention in the Workplace on 4th November. This is aimed at anyone who manages people and who want to explore how to identify and respond to people who might be struggling with menopause symptoms, and ensure we keep within all the legal guidance. We’ve written and are delivering this in partnership with Sally Bolton who is a highly experienced menopause expert.

We’d love to see you there!
